Fernando Avila

Mr. Avila is a dynamic entrepreneur and aviation professional, dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in the Defense industry. As the CEO of Volare Services, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company, Fernando embodies the spirit of leadership and service to his country.

Born and raised in the heart of Central California, Fernando Avila brings an abundance of experiences and expertise to his role as CEO. As an American with Hispanic heritage, Fernando infuses his leadership with an appreciation for cultural diversity, especially in terms of backgrounds, ideas, and access to opportunities.

Fernando embarked on his journey straight into the Marine Corps Infantry. Upon completing high school early, where he distinguished himself with multiple accolades, including two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Combat Meritorious Promotion to E-4, and a Meritorious Mast. With two tours to Helmand Province of Afghanistan under his belt, Fernando's commitment to service only grew.

Transitioning back to civilian life, he continued his dedication to serving as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT. Currently, as a project manager at a defense contractor, Fernando channels his extensive experience to meaningful initiatives, including the development of an internship program tailored for military personnel and their spouses and dependents.

As a current Flight Instructor and Airline Transport Pilot, Fernando's passion for flying is matched only by his commitment to teaching and training others. Beyond his role at Volare Services, Mr. Avila is deeply engaged in supporting the next generation of aviation professionals, mentoring aspiring pilots and aviation enthusiasts to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.
